Comments on actions

Discuss an action where it lives, so the reasoning stays with the work.

Updated 12 September 2026

Any action on the board can hold a conversation. Use it for the context that would otherwise sit in a chat thread nobody can find in three months: why a due date moved, what the client said when you chased, why you dismissed something.

  1. Open the action from the Actions tab.
  2. Type in the comment box at the foot of the panel.
  3. Choose Comment.

It appears straight away for everyone on the client, with your name and the time against it.

A comment can be up to 5,000 characters. If you need more than that, it probably belongs in a logged interaction instead, where Praktor will read it.

What happens next

Everyone on the client’s team can see the comment. If the action is assigned to someone, they’re told about it.

Comments can’t be edited or deleted once posted, so the thread reads as what was actually said at the time. If the person who wrote a comment later leaves the workspace, their words stay but the name becomes Former member. The thread keeps making sense without keeping their account.

Who can comment?

Client managers and editors. Viewers can read the whole thread but not add to it.
