Log an interaction
Capture what happened with a client by voice or text, and understand what Praktor does with it.
Updated 12 September 2026
Logging is the heart of Praktor. Every call, meeting or email you capture becomes the raw material for insights, contacts, the health score your team’s logs produce, and the assistant. It’s quick, and it’s always free. You’re never blocked from saving a note.
Two ways to log
On a client, choose New Log. You can log by voice or by text.
Voice
- Record a short recap in your own words, up to 30 minutes.
- Upload an existing audio file (MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG or WebM, up to 25 MB).
A voice log is your spoken summary of what happened (“we met with the team and agreed to…”), not a recording of the meeting itself.
Text
Type your summary directly into the editor. If you get interrupted, Praktor keeps a local draft and offers to restore it when you come back, so you won’t lose what you’d started.
What happens after you save
Your note is saved straight away, and you’re taken to it. In the background, Praktor:
- Transcribes your summary (for voice).
- Reads the content.
- Pulls out the insights: sentiment, risks, opportunities, action items and the people mentioned.
A voice note takes longer than a typed one, because it is transcribed first. The page updates itself as each step finishes, so you can leave and come back whenever.
Viewing and editing a log
Open any log to see its summary, sentiment (with the reasoning behind it), topics, the transcript or text, and the extracted risks, opportunities, action items and contacts. Voice logs also have an audio player.
Editors and managers can adjust any of these fields directly. If Praktor got something slightly off, just correct it. An Edited badge shows when a log has been changed. Deleting a log is limited to managers and asks you to confirm, because it’s permanent.
If analysis is paused
If your workspace runs out of credits, new notes are still saved but their analysis is paused, and you’ll see a calm amber note saying so. Nothing is lost. An owner can top up under Settings → Billing, and paused notes are analysed automatically once credits are available. You can also fill in the key fields by hand to make a note count towards the client’s health straight away. See Plans and credits.
Browsing a client’s logs
A client’s Logs tab lists everything logged, as a timeline or a table. You can search and filter by date, sentiment, whether a log has risks or opportunities, status, type and author, and share a filtered view by copying the link. You can export the list to CSV, and anyone who can edit the client can select several logs at once and reprocess them, and managers can bulk-delete as well.
