Workspaces

A workspace holds your company’s clients, interactions and team. Most people only ever need one. This page covers the less-common moves: leaving, dissolving, and merging.

Leaving a workspace

Go to Settings → Workspace → Leave. You’ll be removed from the workspace, but your work stays with it. Logs you wrote remain, they simply no longer show you as the author.

If you’re the only owner and the workspace still has clients or other members, you can’t just leave, because you’d be locking everyone else out of billing and administration. Promote someone else to owner first, or dissolve the workspace instead.

Dissolving a workspace

Settings → Workspace → Dissolve permanently deletes a workspace. To protect against accidents, this is only allowed when the workspace is completely empty (no clients, no other members, no pending invitations) and you’ll be asked to type its name to confirm. If something’s still in it, Praktor tells you exactly what to clear first.

Merging workspaces

If you already have your own workspace (with clients and interactions) and you’re invited to join another one, Praktor can merge your data across rather than making you abandon it.

When you accept the invite, you’ll be offered a merge. You then decide, client by client, what happens:

• Merge into existing: when the other workspace already has a client with the same name, your interactions are added to it.
• Move and keep: the client moves across on its own (you’ll rename it if the name clashes).
• Stay and delete: the client and its interactions are permanently deleted, because your old workspace is closed as part of the merge.

Praktor checks for anything that has to be sorted first (other members, pending invites, an active subscription, an in-progress export, or notes still being analysed) and links you straight to each one. Merging is irreversible and asks you to type your workspace’s name to confirm. Afterwards, health scores recompute, voice recordings move across, and your limits switch to the new workspace’s plan.

Not sure which action you need? Leave removes just you. Dissolve deletes an empty workspace. Merge brings your data into another workspace and closes yours.
