Contacts

Every client has a Contacts tab: the people mentioned across that client’s interactions. The list builds itself. As you log interactions, Praktor identifies the people in them and adds them here, so there’s no address book to maintain by hand.

What you’ll find

For each contact you can see their name and role, how many times they’ve been mentioned, when they were first and last seen, and how they relate to other people at the account. A New badge marks anyone first seen in the last week. Open a contact to see their relationships and a timeline of the interactions they appear in, with links to each one.

Adding and editing contacts

Managers and editors can also:

• Add a contact: just a name, and an optional role. Praktor checks the name against people it already knows, so you don’t accidentally create a duplicate.
• Edit a contact’s name or role.
• Import contacts from CSV. Praktor detects the name column (and a role column if there is one), shows you a preview, and imports up to 500 rows at a time (files up to 2 MB). Every imported name is checked against existing people, just like adding one by hand.
• Export the contact list to CSV.

Reviewing possible duplicates

Because contacts come from what’s written in your notes, the same person can show up under slightly different names, such as “Sarah K.” and “Sarah Khan”. When Praktor thinks two contacts might be the same person, it shows an amber review banner with the evidence (different spellings or roles seen, the dates involved, and the interactions they came from).

Anyone who can edit the client — a manager or an editor — decides: Yes, same person (which merges them, and can be undone) or No, keep separate. Praktor never merges people on its own; a person always confirms.

When it’s empty

• No interactions logged yet: the contact list can’t exist until you’ve logged something, so you’ll see a prompt to log your first interaction.
• Logged, but no people found yet: as interactions are analysed, people appear here; you can also add or import them in the meantime.
