Ask the assistant
Ask questions about any client and get answers drawn from everything your team has logged.
Updated 12 September 2026
Every client has an Assistant tab: a chat that answers questions about that client using everything your team has logged: interactions, risks, opportunities, sentiment, the health score, and structured facts like contract value and renewal date — everything the people on your team have put in, and nothing else.
It answers with what matters and what to do about it, drawn from everything your team has logged for the client.
What you can ask
Open the Assistant tab and you’ll see a few starter questions. Good things to ask:
- “What should I know before my next call?”: a full prep briefing, opening with the highest-severity risks, then recent activity, key people and where they stand, open risks and opportunities with suggested actions, and specific talking points. Tell it who you’re meeting and it tailors the answer to that person.
- “Summarise the last two weeks.”
- “Are there any open risks I should be aware of?”
- “What opportunities has the team identified?”
- “What’s the client’s sentiment been like recently?”
It also answers precise, factual questions straight from your records (counts, totals, dates and money) rather than estimating from prose. For example: how many open action items there are, the total contract value, which contracts are renewing soon, one person’s history with the account, or how this month compares with last.
Getting better answers
- Choose how far it goes. A control at the bottom of the chat sets how far past the record the assistant will go: Reports gives you just what the records say, Explains adds what it means, and Advises adds what to do about it. Explains is the default, and your choice is remembered. Length isn’t a setting; the assistant matches it to the question.
- Follow the sources. Under an answer you may see a Sources chip that expands into the specific interactions behind it. Click through to read the original log. Other answers are tagged as drawn from the client’s complete history, or from your live records for exact counts and figures.
- Watch for the caveat. If an answer is tagged “worth double-checking”, the assistant wasn’t fully confident, so treat it as a starting point.
- Rate answers. A thumbs up or down helps us keep quality high.
Conversations
You can keep several conversations per client. Past chats appear in the history panel (a side panel on desktop, a drawer on mobile), each with a timestamp and preview, and you can delete any of them. Press Enter to send and Shift + Enter for a new line.
A longer question that checks several places takes longer to answer, and the assistant shows its progress while it works.
